Pinelli Estate Sparkling Juliet 2016
On Sundays I like to hang with my girl Juliet. We know each other pretty well now.
Pinelli Estate Wines Sparkling Juliet from WA’s Swan Valley is made in the same way champagne is made and it’s only $22 per bottle. While living in Perth there was typically always a bottle of this in my fridge and it was replenished often.
It’s made in a Blanc de Blancs style which means it’s made only made from white grapes varieties. This one is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. I recently ordered a couple of mixed cases from Pinelli and this bubbles plus the Eve sparkling Chenin Blanc made up a good portion of the order. Pinelli does free delivery Australia wide too.
On this gorgeous sunny Sunday, this tipple is going down so well, it almost tastes like I don’t have work tomorrow.
Juliet is a lemon-lime colour in the glass with plentiful hourglass like bubbles. The nose is very citrus driven with some lemon butter on toast and a sprinkling of baking spice. In the mouth it’s smooth yet crisp and extremely refreshing.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
I’m so glad you enjoy reading my reviews Neil! Giving ratings and scores is not really my thing though. You can read why here: https://travellingcorkscrew.com.au/blog/why-i-dont-give-wine-ratings-or-scores/ 😉
Like reading your reviews Casey, but you need a ratings system.
