Artwine 2016 The Real Thing Albariño

Happy International Albariño Days everyone (1-5 August 2018)! Naturally I just had to celebrate, it’d be rude for an Albariño lover like myself not to right?

Firstly, a massive thanks to Australian Good Food & Travel Guide for organising this #sample bottle of the ArtWine Estate 2018 ‘The Real Thing’ Albariño from SA’s Adelaide Hills for me.

In the glass, it’s a lemon-lime colour. On the nose apples, slightly salted nectarine and a distinctive sweet floral perfume come through for me. While in the mouth it’s fresh and light with minerality and citrus. A fantastic match for chilli mussels.
