Sittella Avant-Garde 2016 Tempranillo
Quality over quantity is a great way to think when it comes to wine. Which is why I have been pulling bottles out of the cellar left right and centre recently. I’ve been craving deliciousness.
I picked up this exclusive bottle of 2016 Tempranillo from Sittella in Perth’s Swan Valley wine region last year for approximately $38. The Avant-Garde Series “represents a change in style and a new direction of winemaking for our single vineyards, from which we want to express their unique mesoclimates. All our Avant-Garde wines are single vineyard wines, made with the emphasis on varietal expression while exploring and expressing regionality.”
I tried this at a bloggers tasting and loved it from its raspberry fizz like appearance to its leather, vanilla and blackberry scents. In the mouth, it’s full of juicy raspberries and cherries. The only issue with this wine is that the contents seem to disappear very quickly.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
