Fiano is a white Italian grape variety. There’s not just one side to Fiano, depending on the grape growing conditions it can produce wines which are mineral driven to wines which are lush and juicy. And what’s good for us is that there are now many Australian made Fiano’s on the market like this one.
This New Disco Fiano is a pale yellow shade in the glass. On the nose I get pear, minerality, florals and saline. While in the mouth GPD literally hits it on the head describing it as ‘tonic water. It’s citrus driven with lemon and grapefruit yet savoury. G&T you’re on the bench, suit up New Disco Fiano.
PS: How awesome is the label design! This was done by Alex Anderson.
