O’Leary Walker 2020 Grenache – Seasonal Release
Hello new release 2020 Grenache from our friends at O’Leary Walker!
A big thank you to Jack, Luke and the O’Leary Walker team for sending this sample our way. We enjoyed it one balmy evening recently on the deck as the sun set. Pure bliss!
This is the third release from O’Leary Walker’s Seasonal Release Range. The fruit for this wine comes from 100+ year old vines in South Australia’s Clare Valley.
“10% whole berries are fermented in an open fermenter, then basket pressed to seasoned oak for nine months”.
We enjoyed it solo, without food and it went down mighty finely, I would highly recommend it for an under $30 wine!

What it tastes like
It’s the colour of ruby red gemstones in the glass. On the nose it has such a beautiful perfume, think rose petals, orange citrus, spice and fresh cherries at Christmas time. In the mouth it’s juicy, fruity and thirst quenching. Fantastic acidity, lots of plum fruit, completely moreish and the bottle is way too small.. haha!
