St Anne’s Winery 2018 Bendigo Chardonnay
I have no doubt one of my first drinks after meeting our little man will be a glass of Chardonnay. But for now, I’m living vicariously through Mr Spittoon’s descriptors. It’s actually really interesting to see what my descriptors of the nose compares to his notes of the palate.
We kindly received this St Annes Winery 2018 Chardonnay from Bendigo (VIC) recently to try (thank you!!). It’s aged in French oak and retails for $22.
On the eye it looks like juicy liquid gold with notes of almonds, mandarins, melons and citrus coming through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s fruit driven with refreshing acidity and a nice hint of bits coming through too. Mr Spittoon loved it! In fact he finished the whole bottle.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
