Bailey Wine Co 2017 Watervale Bryksy Vineyard Riesling

Have you come across Bailey Wine Co yet? This small family business owned and operated by Tim and Kate Bailey is based in Coonawarra, South Australia. They have over 25 years of experience in the wine industry and started by Bailey Wine Co in 2015.

I was lucky enough to receive some samples of their wines recently (thank you!) including this 2017 Watervale ‘Brysky Vineyard’ Riesling. It’s a Clare Valley Rizza and sells for $25 via their website.

In the glass it’s a pale yellow shade. The nose is vibrant with Granny Smith apples, lime and minerality coming through for me. In the mouth it’s crisp and clean with a mouthwatering citrus burst at the back of the palate. As Mr Spittoon was explaining it, I couldn’t help but imagine it with fresh oysters.

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
