Pulled pork bao buns and a Pinot Gris + Riesling + Gewurtztraminer white blend, what’s not to like about that combo.
I didn’t realise how easy and quick bao buns are to make at home, I think I’ll be making these more often plus this bottle of Empirica by Castelli Estate Wines 2018 Fiore Del Campo made an excellent accompaniment and likewise so did the spicy potato pizza we enjoyed with the other half of the bottle for dinner. This Xabregas Wines 2017 Riesling is produced by the Hogan family who established the brand in 1996. I did some googling into why the name ‘Xabregas’ but couldn’t find much more than the name ‘represents versatility, enthusiasm, agility and unconventional methods.’ I wonder if this is why they picked it?!
