I didn’t realise how easy and quick bao buns are to make at home, I think I’ll be making these more often plus this bottle of Empirica by Castelli Estate Wines 2018 Fiore Del Campo made an excellent accompaniment and likewise so did the spicy potato pizza we enjoyed with the other half of the bottle for dinner. I love a good dry Riesling and in my opinion, Mt Barker in WA’s Great Southern wine region produces some darn tasty ones! Hence why I picked this for this months TC Wine Club box from The Wine Gallery.

Jeanneret Wines Big Fine Girl 2017 RieslingOn the second day of Christmas, The Wine Gallery sent to me, a bottle of Jeanneret Wines ‘Big Fine Girl’ 2017 Riesling from the Clare Valley.

Mr Spittoon and I enjoyed this with a homemade chicken vindaloo curry tonight and they both went down superbly (FYI Latasha’s Kitchen make an awesome vindaloo curry paste).

2017 was a good year for Riesling in the Clare Valley, so I knew this bottle wouldn’t last long. Continue reading
