A big thank you to GPD for this sample 2019 Jeanneret Big Fine Girl Riesling from SA’s Clare Valley – I think you guys nailed this match for my taste buds and it went with our spicy chow mein perfectly!
In the glass it’s a straw green colour – it looks light but it’s packed full of juicy delicious flavour. On the nose I pick up whiffs of minerality, salt air, apples and florals. Plenty of delicious fruit flavours keep the palate entertained with zippy refreshing citrus. Yum.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it. By using the above promo code I will receive a small amount of commission.

Jeanneret Wines ‘Big Fine Girl’ 2017 Riesling
Tasted on 2 December 2018
On the second day of Christmas, The Wine Gallery sent to me, a bottle of Jeanneret Wines ‘Big Fine Girl’ 2017 Riesling from the Clare Valley.
Mr Spittoon and I enjoyed this with a homemade chicken vindaloo curry tonight and they both went down superbly (FYI Latasha’s Kit
chen make an awesome vindaloo curry paste).
2017 was a good year for Riesling in the Clare Valley, so I knew this bottle wouldn’t last long.
In the glass, it’s a pale straw colour. Notes of spiced citrus, banana bread and fresh flowers rise from the glass. While in the mouth it’s fruity and dry, very citrus driven, crisp and clean. The perfect match for a bit of spice!
A massive thanks to The Wine Gallery for this delectably festive sample.
