Eagles Rest Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
It seems like it’s been a bit of a Cab Sauv week at my house (learn more about Cabernet Sauvignon here). It must be the weather Is anything trending in your house?
I tasted a #sample of this Eagles Rest 2014 Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon recently with a nice big piece of juicy steak. These guys are based in NSW’s Hunter Valley, however, they are passionate about making great wine with quality fruit from around the country.
My tasting note: It’s a garnet gemstone colour in the glass. Smoked berry jus, oak, blackberry and mint come through on the nose for me. While in the mouth it’s juicy and smooth with flavours of chocolate covered coffee beans and blackberries. It also leaves a lasting impression with a nice long finish.
