Black Wattle 2019 & 2020 Limestone Coast Rose
Black Wattle 2020 Limestone Coast Rose
Tasted on 18 November 2020
Wine, pyjamas and Netflix. This pretty much sums up every night of the week for me Speaking of which, any recommendations? I’ve just finished watching The Queen’s Gambit.
Rosé is a fantastic match with pyjamas and Netflix too. Thank you Cellarmasters for helping me perfect that pairing with this media sample of your Rosé Reservation Subscription.
If you’re a rosé lover then you may want to check out this subscription. 3 times a year you’ll get a case of rosé sent to you for $156 per case + free delivery. And there’s no joining or cancellation fees.
I received 4 bottles of this Black Wattle 2020 Rosé from SA’s Limestone Coast in the case. After having tried the 2019 previously, I knew I was in for a tasty treat.
In the glass it’s a pale onion skin colour. Fresh raspberries, lemon wedges and floral notes rise from the glass. Those flavours flow through to the palate. Fruity and thirst quenching.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

When I’m not sure what to drink with a meal, I tend to lean towards Rosé as it’s such a versatile wine for food matching. I received this sample of the Black Wattle 2019 Limestone Coast Rosé from the team at Cellarmasters (thank you!). It came as part of their My Favourites Rosé Wine Reservation.
This is a 12-month Rosé subscription where you get a 12-bottle delivery 3 times a year at a stellar deal – $156 + free delivery per case. That’s $13 a bottle which is an absolute steal when this wine retails for $23 a bottle normally!
This wine is made by Neil Doddridge, a winemaker with over 40 years experience. He’s made it in a juicy dry style – perfect to enjoy with or without food.
We enjoyed it with pulled pork and slaw burgers – so good!! Here are our notes on the wine:
It’s a pretty coral shade in the glass. Notes of fresh watermelon, raspberries, lemon and a sprinkling of fresh herbs and edible flowers come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s full of crunchy red apples, juicy watermelon and red berries. I’m glad there’s 4 bottles of it in the case so I can try it with some of the recommended matches by Cellarmasters too!
