Gatch Wine 2018 White Blend – South Australia
What’s a blend when it comes to wine? You may hear people throw that term around a bit, but what exactly does it mean?
A blend, typically refers to the fact that the wine is made from a mix of different grape varieties. Just like this sample bottle of Gatch Wine 2018 White I received recently which is a blend of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris grapes.
The grapes comes from both the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley regions in South Australia. It retails for $28 per bottle .
Here are our notes on this white blend:
It’s a yellow shade in the glass with a peach tinge to it. It’s very aromatic and oozes freshness with notes of herbs, florals, citrus, juicy stone fruit and pears. While in the mouth it coats the mouth with deliciousness. It has a satin-like texture and gorgeous fruit and citrus notes. Very yummy!
This wine was given to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
