Bailey Wine Co 2017 Charlie’s Patch Chardonnay
This is how we celebrated Global Drink Wine Day yesterday! Naturally it had to involve Chardonnay (both Mr Spittoon and I are Chardy lovers).
Firstly a big thanks to Bailey Wine Co for this sample of their 2017 Adelaide Hills Charlie’s Patch Vineyard Chardonnay to try. I knew it wouldn’t last long in our house!
Bailey Wine Co are a family owned business based in Coonawarra, South Australia which started up in 2015. They suggest matching their Chardonnay with: “Enjoy with creamy mushroom pasta, roast chicken, blue cheese and most importantly friends!”. Yum, I’m hungry now!
Here’s what we thought of the wine:
It’s an eye catching sunshine yellow in the glass. On the nose it’s rather creamy with yummy tropical fruits coming through for me (think guava, dragonfruit and melon). It smells delectable. In the mouth it’s juicy and fruit forward with flavours that cover the mouth and it ends with a nice crisp, refreshing finish. Very enjoyable and great value for $25.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
