If you saw the video this morning then you may have seen this vino’s matching recipe was a barbecue beef fillet with mustard sauce (yumo!). However as I’m feeling a little under the weather, it was set to be a platter night and it turned out well!
It’s a deep garnet red colour in the glass. Notes of black fruits, warm tar, spice and mocha come through on the nose. While in the mouth it has vibrant acidity, black fruits, a bit of smokiness and a pinch of spice to finish up. A great match to the smoked cheese on our Saturday arvo platter.
