Happs Three Hills 2018 Sangiovese – Margaret River
2018 was an outstanding vintage for both whites and reds in WA’s Margaret River which is why the recent release of Happs Wines ‘Three Hills’ wine range has been much anticipated.
Three Hills is a range of wines made from alternate grape varieties. Only the very best fruit goes into this top tier range.
We recently cracked this Happs Three Hills 2018 Sangiovese sample we received (thank you!!).

- RRP $38
- Hand picked
- 9 days on skins & hand plunged

Here are our notes on it:
It’s a wonderful red-y purple colour on the eye. While on the nose it makes me think of berry jam, a bit of spice, tobacco, cocoa and has a whiff of pomegranate acidity to it. In the mouth it’s fresh, vibrant, juicy and bursting with fruit (think cherries and berries). There’s also a savoury olive note in there too. Extremely drinkable.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
