Cabernet Franc is the ‘other Cabernet’ that you may hear less about, but it’s one tasty variety! It’s quite often blended in a Bordeaux style red blend, however it’s also vinified on its own like this Three Hills 2018 from Happs Wines in WA’s Margaret River region.
Tannat is a grape which is commonly found in the South West of France and also Uruguay. We cracked this Aussie version last night – the Happs Wines Three Hills 2018 Tannat which I received as a sample (thank you!!).
2018 was an outstanding vintage for both whites and reds in WA’s Margaret River which is why the recent release of Happs Wines ‘Three Hills’ wine range has been much anticipated.
