Georgie Orbach 2020 Pinot Gris
Could the biggest compliment to a bottle of wine be emptying it? I think so!
Wine is to be consumed and enjoyed right? And Georgie’s wines are perfect for that as they are made in a drink-now style, cost a mere $10 a bottle, and come with an expertly matched 80s pop tune. What’s not to like?
A big thank you to Georgie Orbach Wines for sending us over this sample of the 2020 Pinot Gris to taste.
It has just been released and the 2019 was awarded 88 points in the James Halliday Wine Companion, while this 2020 picked up a Gold Australian Wine Showcase Award.

My tasting note
It’s a lemon & lime shade in the glass. There’s whiffs of apple sherbet, a lick of juicy white peach, and some old-fashioned lemonade coming through on the nose for me. While in the mouth it’s rather dainty with delicate acidity across the palate with stonefruit flavours on the finish and a hint of grapefruit in the mid-palate. Darn easy to drink if you ask me!
