Oakover 2020 Swan Valley Chenin Blanc

It’s the annual Swan Valley Wine Show Awards tonight in Perth! Since I can’t be there, the next best thing for me to do is to sip on some SV wine.

I was kindly sent this media sample from the lovely folks at Oakover Wines (thank you!). Chenin Blanc grows so well in the SV, in fact it’s one of the regions signature varieties.

This little $16 2020 beauty is a pale yellow colour in the glass. On the nose there’s hints of guava, snow peas and Granny Smith apples. While in the mouth it’s super fresh and leaves a lovely fruity sweetness in your mouth.

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
