Mother’s Day Wine Gifts She Will Love!

Lets firstly get something clear – it doesn’t need to be Mother’s Day, Christmas or her birthday to buy your Mum a gift. Mother’s deserved to be spoilt no matter the occasion.
Especially when it comes to spoiling her with wine (or wine related gifts)! Being a mother myself, and having been through 9+ months without wine (twice!), I know what a sacrifice it is!
With Mother’s Day fast approaching this year (don’t forget it’s always the second Sunday in May which makes it Sunday 11th May 2025 this year), I thought it would be a good time to put together a list of fabulous Mother’s day wine gifts ma’s and no doubt females, in general, will love.
And hey, if you end up putting a little wish list together for yourself, I don’t blame you!
Please note: I share products I love and enjoy myself (or wish I was getting for Mother’s Day – hint hint Mr Spittoon and kids). I am an affiliate partner with some of the brands below, therefore by clicking through and making a purchase, I may receive a small amount of commission.
Wine PJs
I recently was walking by Peter Alexander in Geelong, and in the window were these absolutely adorable Champagne pyjamas. I simply had to have them!
They come at a high price tag ($140) however the design is stunning – including the box they come in, and they are so soft and comfy.
Plus Alexander knows how to make a lady feel good about herself, as they sizing is very generous. So I am normally about a size 12 and I ended up buying a size Small and they are still super roomy.
I looooove them and I know any wine loving, champagne loving mama would too!
Wine Subscription
If your mama is a serious wine lover then a monthly wine subscription is going to make you the most favourite child ever! My pick is Good Pair Days as not only do you get a wicked cheeseboard esky when you sign up currently, but you also get plenty of perks along the way. Not to mention each month with your wines you get tasting notes and a recipe to match each of the wines.
Australian Wine Region Tea Towels
Not just for drying the dishes – these stunning hand watercolour illustrated cotton tea towels are on a mission to bring more visitors to Australian wine regions
Thank you very much Brighton House Decor and Elizabeth Hollingsworth for sending some of your Palatable Tea Towels our way – they are beautiful
The illustrations are hand-painted by Ballarat artist Caroline Keys.
On each tea towel you’ll find 15 wineries, 15 accommodation providers and 15 local attractions
Retailing for $29 you can buy them online via brightonhousedecor.com.au or via a number of retail stockists.
Wine Preserver
If your mum is a bit of a wine aficionado, then look no further than a Coravin wine preserver or Coravin pivot (plus use my discount code CASEY10 for 10% off all items, including sale items). If your mama is serious about her wine then she is going to absolutely love one of these beauties. Basically they allow you to open a bottle of wine, have a glass and then preserve the rest of the bottle for days, weeks, and sometimes even months or years.
They really are a must have for the serious wine-loving mums out there. You can learn more about wine preservation systems here.
Wine Gift Box
I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better gift than a gorgeous wine gift pack. But which one do you choose?
Well, I have done the hard yards for you and done some research into the best wine gift packs in Australia right now – check it out here.
Wine Socks
I have a pretty good collection of wine socks. In fact I might be a little obsessed. Which is why when I saw the below beauties – I just had to share!
These Give Me Rosé And Tell Me I’m Pretty socks are available on the Just In Time Gourmet website. You can add them to one of their Create Your Own Hampers alongside a ton of other wine related goodies like:
PS: And I have just spotted these Great Minds Drink Alike Wine Socks too!! Love!
Platters Made From Recycled Wine Barrels
I was actually gifted a Wine Stains grazing board in a media pack I received last year and I have loved my board to death.
They are beautifully made, they smell great and they look fantastic adorned with delicious cheeses and meats. I am so obsessed with mine that I get out the canola oil after every use to oil it back up so it stays in pristine condition for as long as possible!
Fiction Wine Books
There are so many awesome wine books out there. Many of these pack tons of delicious wine education into. However alongside all those great non-fiction wine books, I love myself a good fiction wine book.
After being sent a sample of one of Peter Stafford Bow’s books last year to read, Mr Spittoon then went out and bought me two more of his books as I loved the first one so much!
I also really enjoyed Root Cause by Steven Laine when I read it in 2019.
Wine Jigsaw
I was sent a wine jigsaw from Water & Wines in 2021 and I absolutely loved it! It was the Australia map. I did it with my mum while drinking a few wines over a number of nights and we had such great fun.
Then for Christmas 2022 I thought we’d repeat the experience and I bought the Champagne jigsaw for us to do!
