Cuveé Chocolate Wine Connoisseurs Collection Test
Recently I had a big responsibility on my hands. I took on the challenge of road testing Cuveé Chocolate for the Just In Time Gourmet blog.
Now we’re not talking about any old chocolate here. Cuveé Chocolate is an artisan chocolate made in Australia by world-renowned Pastry Chef & Chocolatier, Deniz Karaca (the name may look familiar as he was recently on MasterChef Australia).
Deniz has brought his love of chocolate and wine together to make Cuveé Chocolate, the ‘artisan chocolate crafted for wine connoisseurs’. The range includes a handful of different chocolate types from white to milk and of course dark chocolate. Each chocolate then has specific wine matches that are meant to take you into a chocolatey-tipsy haze of goodness.
Working in online marketing, I know what the marketing world can be like – there are companies and brands that ‘fib’ to get their product in front of our eyes. So I guess knowing that and also knowing that chocolate can sometimes be very hard to match with wine had me a little skeptical as to whether this chocolate would satisfy a wine geek like myself. So, being the kind and generous person that I am, I offered to put my body on the line and road test the chocolate and some of the recommended matches.
It was a hard task, but as we say, ‘someone had to do it’. Was the chocolate any good? Did it work well with the wine matches? Well, my friends, you’ll have to head over to the feature I did on the Just In Time Gourmet blog to find out. Grab a glass of wine and enjoy!
