Moss Brothers Fidium Chardonnay 2019
Margaret River in Western Australia produces some amazing Chardonnay’s. They have the perfect climate to grow deliciously juicy Chardonnay grapes.
This 2019 Moss Brothers Margaret River Wines ‘Fidium’ Chardonnay is no exception. A big thank you to the Moss Brothers team for sending us this sample to try.
It was wild fermented, spent 10 months in French oak barrels on lees and malolactic fermentation occurred naturally. It sits at 12.5% abv and was made by winemaker Kate Morgan.
It retails for $50 and can be purchased via the Moss Brothers website (see link above).
We found it a lovely golden yellow colour in the glass. It’s buttery and a bit nutty on the nose with hints of toasted oranges and vanilla bean infused orchard fruits. In the mouth it has that perfect balance of creamy toasty oak and fresh juicy citrus. There’s some licks of nuts and melon in there too.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
