TarraWarra Estate Farm Block Chardonnay 2016

Excuse me as I post all my tasting notes from the weekend. It was raining so I did a bit of wine tasting on my couch alright.

This TarraWarra Estate Farm Block 2016 Chardonnay from Victoria’s Yarra Valley is part of Wine Selectors 2019 calendar collection. For $195 you get 12 wines + 12 recipes from Australian Chefs and a gorgeous 2019 calendar. The whole idea is that you cook the matching meal to go with the wine each month. #datenight

This citrus driven Chardonnay is matched with Chef Mark Ebbels Spring Chicken and Grapefruit.

In the glass, this Chardy has a golden yellow hue with lovely citrus, fresh honeydew melon and hints of nuts coming through on the nose. It’s light and extremely easy drinking on the palate with pears and crisp citrus notes entertaining the taste buds.
