Pinelli Estate Eve Sparkling Brut 2016

We were having withdrawals.

Withdrawals from not living just up the road from Pinelli Estate Wines in the Swan Valley anymore. So we recently put in a big order to be delivered over to Victoria (free delivery Australia-wide on deliveries of 12 bottles or more FYI).

A good portion of the order was made up of the Eve and Juliet sparkling wines. Bubbles are definitely this girls best friend.

Eve is a Sparkling Brut and is made in the ‘traditional method’, like champagne. However, we don’t call it champagne as it doesn’t come from the Champagne region in France. Eve is made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety, a variety which thrives in WA’s Swan Valley.

This sparkly little lady is a pale yellow shade in the glass with a lovely effervescence to it. Have you ever put your ear up to a glass of sparkling wine? I love that fizzing sound of the CO2 gas escaping! On the nose Eve has a perfume of spiced pears, apples and refreshing citrus. These characters flow through to the palate to make a very thirst quenching bubbles with a silky smooth mouthfeel. It makes for a great aperitif with its clean, crisp finish.
