Scallops and Riesling? Hell yes!!
October 2019 is the month for Robert Oatley 2017 Great Southern Riesling and Chef Rick Houston’s Rottnest Island Scallops with cauliflower purée and nduja vinaigrette as part of the Wine Selectors Chef & The Cellar 2019 Calendar case (drooooool).
Jeeze how good does that pairing sound?
I love my GS Riesling and this one went down with extreme ease. In the glass, it’s a pale water white shade with a hint of lime. Crisp apples, pears and a pretty floral perfume rise from the glass. Actually, I’d love a real perfume that smells like this! In the mouth juicy green apples, minerality and refreshing lime zest zip across the taste buds.
