Hampton Water Rose – South of France
South of France Rosé lovers – you’re going to l’amour this!
The lovely Brenno from the Robnik Group recently sent me this refreshing 2018 Rosé sample to try.
Hampton Waters is made in the Languedoc region and is made primarily from Grenache with a bit of Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes in the blend.
On the eye it’s a pale pinky peach diamond colour. On the nose it similar smells thirst quenching, think red fruits (cherries, raspberries), lemon citrus and some floral notes. In the mouth it’s dry yet has a candy floss personality to it, it’s fruity and refreshing with a delicious citrus bite on the finish. Mr Spittoon also thought it went very well with our fish tacos.
Stockists include: Armadale Cellars, Jefferies – Your Local Provedore, 161 Cellars, Gangemi’s Fine Wines & Food & Summer Hill Wine Shop.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
