Gifts for Wine Lovers for Christmas 2019

Every year I aim to do a blog post highlighting some awesome gifts for wine lovers. Typically these are items I have tried, tested and loved throughout the year or they are products I want. Hint hint Mr. Spittoon.

So without further adieu, let’s get stuck in…

Winosaur Tee

A year or so ago I bought an Artemiss Creations Winosaur singlet and just recently the lovely Perth based designer, Danika released a new version!

Danika was kind enough to gift me this beauty and I have been living in it!! The material is so nice (certified organic and fair trade!) and I think it improves my wine tasting & drinking ability too. Buy yours online today!

Champagne Candles

I’m seriously in love with this ‘Champagne & Strawberries’ candle I was recently so kindly gifted from the Champagne Candle Collective – Thank you!

These stylish and sustainable (not to mention absolutely delicious smelling candles) are a must for any champagne and winelovers out there.

Shelley, the lovely lady behind these gorgeous candles says on her website

“In Australia, 1.36 million tonnes of glass containers are dumped each year. Our mission is to save a portion of these beautiful bottles and give them a bright new life by making them into a one-of-a-kind luxurious candle.”

I love it! Such a great idea and with Christmas coming up, how can you resist. These beauties start from $49.95 and also come in Parisian Pear and French Fig flavours. They are 100% soy wax and hand poured with a thick wood wick.

Cheers to drinking champagne AND recycling.

Australia’s First Families of Wine Book

The Australia’s First Families of Wine book is about 11 iconic wine families and their contributions to the Australian wine industry past and present. It is written by Richard Allen, with the gorgeous photography by Kimbal Baker.

It is the perfect book for wine lovers this Christmas and is available from all good booksellers. A great coffee table book and book to immerse yourself in while sipping on some delicious vino from one of the AFFW.

Wine Socks!

I picked these up at Puddleduck Winery in Tasmania this year and absolutely love them!

Root Cause Book by Steven Laine

If you haven’t yet read this wine novel, it’s a great read! I am not a huge bookworm, but I couldn’t put it down. You can find my full review of Root Cause here.

Press for Champagne Button

I bought my home office a Press for Champagne button for Christmas last year – and I absolutely love it! They’re a bit pricey, but such a cool little piece of decor.

Wearing Memories Jewellery

I think I include this wine jewellery every year in my gifts for wine lovers blog post. That’s because I absolutely love my Wearing Memories ring!

Read more about Wearing Memories here.

Plumm Three Crystal Wine Glasses

Designed and made in Melbourne, Australia, these are the latest Plumm wine glasses to hit the market and I am absolutely loving them.

Plumm Three Wine Glasses aka ‘The Sommelier Series’ have been developed in conjunction with Australian sommeliers.

These ‘Three No. 1’ glasses I received are the universal glass which are designed for reds and whites and are particularly suited to full-bodied reds like the Aussie Cab Sauv in my glass.

So what do I like about them?

  • The Size – they’re nice and big, good for swirling!
  • The Stem – it’s so dainty and fine which I just love, plus they are easy to stack in our dishwasher (it’s the small things!) and yes they are dishwasher friendly.
  • They’re lightweight and simply ooze elegance.

They retail for $90 for a twin pack and there’s also a specific white wine version and a specific red wine version too.

2020 Wine & Food Calendar + Wines

In case you missed my recent post, Wine Selectors are again doing their Chef & The Cellar case of wine with 2020 calendar and matching recipes. You can read all about this delicious gift for a wine and food lover here.

Mr Mustang Tour – Australia’s South West

If you know someone living in Western Australia or someone planning a visit next year, then organising them to head out on Mr Mustang Tour would be an absolutely fantastic idea!

TC writer, Nicola Heyes, went out on a tour this year.\ Read about in her wine tour experience in a Mustang here.
