Whicher Ridge Pretty Flamingo 2019 Rosé
Now this is my idea of a great night – bubble bath, wine, book and pampering. Anyone keen to put today off and do this instead?
If you haven’t heard, last year, Whicher Ridge Wines released their brand new wine – Pretty Flamingo 2019 Rosé made from Margaret River Shiraz grapes. Thank you Cathy for sending over this sample for us to try!
It’s matured in used French oak barrels for 4 months prior to release to add texture and structure. And I have to admit, it’s the perfect tipple to simply sit back and relax with.
We found it an orange red sunset colour in the glass. On the nose it’s absolutely vibrant with florals, red fruits and orange zest coming through. It smells fruity yet dry with a hint of savouriness to it. In the mouth it’s clean, clear and crisp with red berries and a bit of stone fruit coming through. To sum it up in one word, it’s ‘delectable’.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
PS: I’m loving this latest book by The Champagne Diet by Cara Alwill Leyba – it’s a fantastic read especially if you’re an entrepreneur.
