Today I want to introduce you to a brand new wine brand – The Group.
The Group celebrates and supports the grape growers and their families who are behind some of Australia’s finest grapes. They’re a Grower-Owned Collective who are championed by Chef Matt Moran.
The grapes for The Quiver 2019 Grenache are grown on Dave and Jen Wright’s vineyard in McLaren Vale, South Australia. They live on the property and Jen’s son Fred and his wife Sarah manage the vineyard.
Matt Moran suggests pairing it with a lamb ratatouille with lots of vegetables. It retails for $34 at Liquorland and First Choice Liquor.
We found it a ruby hue in the glass with lovely juicy and fruity aromas of black currants and cherries on the nose with a pinch of spice. In the mouth it’s wonderfully smooth with a lingering finish. Nice oomph of dark berry flavours.
