Gwyn Olsen 2019 Red Field Blend – Preservative Free
I’m finding more and more wines fall into the vegan and vegetarian friendly category. Including this lovely little sample I received from Cellarmasters – thank you!!
This Gwyn Olsen 2019 Red Field Blend is also preservative free. It’s made from a blend of:
- Merlot
- Malbec
- Aglianico
- Barbera
All the grapes were sourced from Wrattonbully in South Australia. Plus they were all picked and fermented together.
Now I don’t hunt out specifically vegan wines, however I do hunt out tasty wines and this one definitely ticked that box.
It’s a deep red-purple berry plum colour in the glass. It looks simply juicy! On the nose I get whiffs of red fruits and spice. While in the mouth it evokes thoughts of sweet mint, aniseed and cherries. It’s juicy but dry with a subtle tannic finish.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
