12 hours of free-flowing Charles Heidsieck Champagne – heck yes!
Mr Spittoon and I splurged on our recent trip to Thailand. Instead of buying Christmas presents and after saving like crazy we decided to put our money on business class flights on Singapore Airlines.
The trip from Melbourne to Thailand consists of a 7-hour + 2-hour flight, with a stopover in Singapore.
Half of the decision to fly Singapore Air may have been to do with the Charles Heidsieck champagne onboard and boy it didn’t disappoint! It’s also worth noting that unlike the Melbourne and the Bangkok SG lounges that the lounge in Singapore also has help-yourself CH champagne. Continue reading →
Well, it’s my first day back to work today for 2019 and I’m pretty excited for what the year has in store for me. A definite highlight for 2019 already was enjoying this bottle of Champagne Perrier-Jouët 2004 Belle Époque Blanc de Blancs Champagne at the highest open-air champagne bar in the world, Flute at Lebua Hotel in Bangkok on the 64th floor. As we live about 3 hours from Melbourne airport, we typically stay at the Park Royal Melbourne Airport Hotel if we have an early flight. It takes the stress out of worrying about the traffic and being on time for our flight.
Naturally, we also like to enjoy a few drinks at the start of a holiday too and therefore before our recent trip to Thailand we stopped at Dan Murphy’s on our way to the hotel to pick up a couple of bottles of champagne to enjoy in our room which looked back towards Melbourne city.
