Charles Orban Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Every night is a champagne night right?
I have to admit it is my go-to tipple for celebrations though! This one we even sabred open as we were celebrating some exciting news for our business – Grand Cru Digital (yep and our business name is a champagne reference too).
We picked it up for $45 from Dan Murphy’s – the bosses wallet wouldn’t stretch very far.
Charles Orban is a grower/producer and this Blanc de Blancs is made of 100% Chardonnay.
In the glass it’s a pale silver gold colour. Notes of green apples, citrus zest and arrowroot bickies come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s smooth yet leaves a zingy feel on your tongue like you’ve just eaten a ton of pineapple. There’s also a hint of almond croissant in there too.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy.
