Hither & Yon Aglianco Rose 2020

So darn delicious!

This 2020 Rosé from the lovely folks at Hither & Yon is made from 100% Aglianco.

Aglianco is a black grape variety predominantly found in Southern Italy. It typically makes a full bodied, high tannin and high acidity wine.

This Rosé ($26) is superb. We had it with curry on Friday night – it was the My First Curry recipe from the What Mummy Makes cookbook. Yep Baby TC is on solids and devouring everything so our wine matching is now for baby-friendly meals.

In the glass it’s a pretty onion skin shade while on the nose it’s full of cherries, nashi pear, kaffir lime and some herbs. Those flavours flow through to the palate. It’s just so clean, crisp and hella delectable. I would be ordering more if it wasn’t sold out 🙁
