Heirloom Vineyards 2020 Sauvignon Blanc – Adelaide Hills

Sauv Blanc Saturday’s, that sounds like it’s an official thing right 😉

I kindly received this 2020 Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc to taste recently (thank you!).

This Sauvy sits at 11.2% so it’s not overly high in alcohol, it’s also not your typical fruit bomb that most of us immediately think of when we hear the words Sauvignon Blanc.

Sauv Blanc can actually be made in quite a number of styles and this one here is refined, elegant and perhaps it can even be described as dainty.

In the glass it’s a pretty lemon-silver hue. Notes of green apple, passionfruit, pineapple, lemon zest and herbal tea come through on the nose for me. While in the mouth it’s juicy yet delicate. A light style Sauv that would be perfect for brunch IMO!
