Small Change Wines Road Trip Rosé 2018
I love a good rosé and when I picked this Small Change Wines ‘Road Trip’ 2018 Malbec Rosé for this months TC Wine Club I knew it’d be destined to be enjoyed with a bbq dinner.
‘A small change, but a good one’ is the motto for this winery. Thanks to The Wine Gallery’s tasting note with this bottle, I found out that Small Change Wines invest in a micro-finance organisation called KIVA which loans money to businesses who accelerate female education programs around the world.
The grapes for this wine are grown in Langhorne Creek (an hours drive from Adelaide) and it:
- Is made from Malbec grapes from a single vineyard
- Is made from free-run juice fermented in barrel
- Has low amounts of sulphur added
On the eye, it’s an orangey peach colour. On the nose, I pick up whiffs of freshly picked raspberries, persimmons and tangy grapefruit citrus. In the mouth, it’s light and fresh with juicy peach and nectarine notes and it ends on a lovely fresh citrus note. Yum!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
