Friends of Mine 2019 Chardonnay – Good Pair Days
Say hello to my new friend ??
Introducing the brand new wine range – Friends of Mine founded by the wonderful Renee Murphy and her father Anthony Murphy – a winemaker if 40+ years in NSW. Renee sent me a wonderful intro pack (thank you!!) and it could not have come at a better time #mumlife
Naturally the Chardonnay didn’t last long in our household. This vegan friendly Chardy was fermented in 500L French oak puncheons and after 8 months the wine was blended and bottled.
This 2019 Chardy is available exclusively via Good Pair Days for $15. Use code “travellingcorkscrew” to get $23 off your first order through Good Pair Days.
There’s also a Pinot Noir in the range. However here’s my notes on the Chardy:
In the glass it’s a dreamy, creamy yellow shade. On the nose it makes me think of vanilla poached orchard fruits and grilled grapefruit sprinkled with brown sugar (a memory from my childhood!). While in the mouth it’s darn smashable. It’s juicy and full of peaches and citrus with nearly a syrup like mouthfeel. Yum!!
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
