Soumah Brachetto Sparkling 2020 – Yarra Valley
Happy fizzy Friday! Yes if you haven’t heard, Friday’s are perfect for drinking bubbles.
What’s even better is if you can make it a frizzante fizzy Friday.
Frizzante is an Italian term meaning ‘slightly sparkling’ or ‘semi sparkling’.
And that’s the style that Soumah from VIC’s Yarra Valley has made their sparkling 2020 Brachetto in. Thank you Amanda & team for sending over this sample for us to try.
Soumah stopped the fermentation of this wine early so there’s a delicate sweetness to this gentle sparkling wine. Therefore it’s not completely dry.
We found it a peachy pink shade in the glass with delicate fizz and lovely notes of strawberries and tropical fruit rising from the glass. It’s thirst quenching and has just the right amount of fruit sweetness. It’s definitely the liquid Turkish delight flavour that’s promised on the back label! $28/bottle.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
