I looooved this rosé from Crush House in the Hunter Valley. It came in my sample pack from Wine Selectors to try out their new customised wine plans.
The pair behind the Crush House brand are Hunter Valley locals Usher Tinkler and Andrew Leembruggen. They established the brand in 2013, so it’s a fairly new brand. I actually did a Q&A piece with Andrew about his Andevine Wines label back in 2015.
It’s interesting because there are a few years of age on this rose, however, I never would have guessed it as it’s still super fresh and juicy.
The notes I jotted down while tasting this one were:
A pale peach colour on the eye. The nose is beautifully fruity with a hint of floral perfume – it’s like a gorgeous fruit salad and bouquet of flowers mixed into one. In the mouth, it’s fresh, vibrant, crisp and delicious. Think apples and raspberries with a slice of lemon to finish.
This bottle was sent to me as a sample from Wine Selectors.
