12 of the Best Gifts for Wine Lovers: From Novice to Connoisseur
Christmas is just around the corner. Seeing as I am a wine-geek as you may have already guessed it means I have my fair share of wine products and accessories – some I use and don’t go near again (don’t worry none of those are included here) and some I absolutely love and use over and over again.
So here is my ultimate list of gifts for wine lovers!
Please note: some of the links below are affiliate links, which means I may get a small amount of commission if you click through and purchase. I only promote products I truly love and use myself.
Wine Fiction Books
I love me a good book, especially when it is a novel about wine! There are actually quite a number of them out there now and I have read a fair few of them. Check out the wine fiction books that make the ultimate drinking companions (and gifts!).
Strange Nature Grape Gin
Calling all my gin and wine lovers – this is for you!
I was soooo excited to try the Strange Nature Gin (which I was kindly #gifted – thank youuuu) for so many reasons, here a few:
- The bottle is GORGEOUS – it’s the first thing that caught my eye and this one won’t be getting thrown out
- It’s a grape based gin
- It’s from New Zealand
If you’re a gin and wine lover like me, then you’ll know doubt have come across Shiraz Gin but you probably haven’t come across Sauvignon Blanc Gin!
And in all honesty, I loooved it! It’s everything the hype promises – aromatic, fruity, tropical, zesty and herbaceous.
The recommended garnish is thyme and lemon however we only had orange and lemon thyme at home and WOW these two made an epic garnish.
Three gins later on a Sunday night and I could have easily had more!
The only botanical in the mix is juniper because the Sauv B takes care of the rest of the delicious flavour.
And clearly it’s not just my strange taste buds that think this gin is divine because it was awarded 98/100 at the International Wines & Spirits Competition 2024!
Plus the gorgeous bottle design won a Gold Medal at the Los Angeles Spirit Awards too.
Bloody delicious and I have no doubt when I next want to splurge on a bottle of gin, this will be it.
Strange Nature Gin available at Dan Murphys alongside various other retailers and also duty free for approximately $90 for a 700ml bottle.
