Windfall Wine Estate 2018 ‘Frog Song’ Shiraz – Great Southern
So it was 2 degrees here the other morning! And the nights are definitely chilling down to which means I’m reaching for the red wine more and more.
Firstly a big thanks to Windfall Wine Estate for sending us this sample bottle of their Frog Song 2018 Great Southern Shiraz.
Windfall Estate is committed to creating a sustainable biodynamic vineyard at their property which is 15 minutes from the South West hub of Bunbury. This includes undertaking integrated pest management, reducing waste from the vineyard, and minimising their impact on the natural waterway.
Which is fantastic in my opinion. If they can do all that and make great wine then they’re on a great track. And it’s safe to say this Shiraz is pretty darn tasty, here are our notes:
Rich red velvet colour in the glass. The nose is deliciously alluring with spice, juicy plums and berries jumping out of the glass. Bright acidity dances across the palate with smooth and soft tannins gripping onto the palate. Super tasty and enjoyable. $21 a bottle.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
