Sauvignon Blanc, yay or nay? I find people have very strong opinions about wines made from Sauvignon Blanc.

Personally I enjoy a glass of Sauvy B, for me it makes me think of the beach and seafood. I also love the diversity you can find, for instance Aussie Sauv can be so different from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and these days you can find winemakers oaking it and doing all sorts of things to it to create their own expression of it.

Ngeringa 2018 Uncultured Pét Nat

Pét Nat has boomed in popularity over the last 12 months. It’s a ‘very cool’ bubbles to be sipping on. Short for Pétillant-naturel which in French means ‘natural sparkling’, they are made in a more rustic way than champagne that produces a sparkling wine which is traditionally cloudy, unfiltered, and finished with a crown cap closure. The method for making Pét Nats is called ‘méthode ancestrale’. Continue reading
