Side Gate Wines 2018 Tempranillo & Pinot Noir

A year ago we headed along to the Side Gate Wines Art Series launch party in Collingwood where we tried this little Tempranillo + Pinot Noir blend.
“The art of Melbourne painter Benjamin Aitken is the first edition of Art Series labels by Side Gate winemaker, Josef Orbach. This label was born out of love for two things: A passion for traditional Spanish-style reds, and the wonder of sharing great art”.
In the range is a 2018 Tempranillo and a 2018 Tempranillo & Pinot Noir blend (75/25 I believe) from the Adelaide Hills. Both are $25 per bottle.
This here is the Tempranillo + Pinot blend which we were given as a free gift (thank you!!). It recently went down a treat!
Here’s how we found it:
Hue: maroon
Aroma: aniseed, cherries, fresh mint, oak
Palate: mouth coating, subtle tannins, plums
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
