3drops 2018 Nebbiolo Rose
Yep, there was no hope that this 3drops wine and olive oil 2018 rosé would last very long in our house. It arrived on the same day as my order from Chroma Studio so I was in a delivery bliss state of mind.
This rosé is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety and it just picked up a silver at the Wine Show of Western Australia.
Did you know.. Nebbiolo is an Italian red wine grape variety which is predominately associated with the Piedmont region in Italy. Common descriptors for red wines made from the Nebbiolo grape include; tar, roses, truffles, tobacco, raspberries, cherries and violets.
Here are my thoughts on this Great Southern Rosé drop…
Silvery peach colour on the eye with red berries and black cherries and a hint of sweet anise and baking spice on the nose. It’s very delicate yet extremely inviting. Those black and red fruits follow through to the palate with refreshing crisp citrus notes and a completely moreish finish that keeps you going back for more.
