Are you looking for no added preservatives, organic or biodynamic wine? Well this McLaren Vale Chardonnay ticks all those boxes!
Introducing the Paxton Wines NOW 2019 Chardonnay which was released on a few months ago and I was lucky enough to be sent a sample bottle to taste (thank you!).
The Paxton NOW range is all about Natural Organic Wine. In the range you’ll also find a Rosé and a Shiraz. Click here for my tasting notes on the Paxton NOW 2019 Rosé.
Paxton wines was established in 1979 in McLaren Vale, South Australia. It’s a family-run wine company and it was in 2011 when they became a fully certified organic and biodynamic wine producer.
So what was this South Australian organic Chardonnay like? Here are my tasting notes:
In the glass it’s a white gold shade. The nose makes me think of perky nana’s slightly, a bit of sea salt, honeydew melon and citrus. While in the mouth it’s like a fruit salad of apples and peaches with a nice lemon sherbet lick. Lovely and dry. Very enjoyable and it’s a bonus that it’s preservative free, organic and biodynamic!
This wine was sent to me direct from the winery as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
