Lansdowne Wines 2018 Downe-Lo Rosé
Do you enjoy your lo-fi wines? If so, you may want to save this post.
And if you’re not sure what lo-fi means, head to Google as it’s a unique term to describe the natural / minimal intervention / sustainable wine movements.
We recently bought some wine online from Lansdowne Wines in SA’s Adelaide Hills region and I couldn’t resist adding a bottle of this 2018 Downe-Lo Rosé for $28.
Its made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes. It may sound a bit weird and wacky but it’s utterly delicious. And it also spends some time in oak too!
In the glass it’s a shimmery orange amber shade. Mouth watering subtle scents of wild strawberries, oranges and lemon come through. It’s dainty in the mouth too with red berries and crunchy apple acidity. Refreshing and darn smashable if you ask me.
We enjoyed it with some 10-hour slow cooked pulled pork burgers.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
