While we were very enticed by the idea of matching this 2019 McLaren Vale Tempranillo with some Mexican food as recommended. We also loved your suggestion of: ‘chargrill some chorizo and halloumi on the bbq and eat straight off with a glass on hand.’

This vegan friendly wine really hit the spot with our bbq (ironic!!).
It’s very purple like in colour with a rather savoury nose intertwined with plums and cherry cola. While in the mouth it has a fantastic oomph for a temp, think juicy berries and cherries with a hearty backbone. It’s savoury but fruity. An intriguing wine and a fantastic match to the food.
