Heirloom Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
You can tell a lot of love has gone into this Heirloom Vineyards 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra (SA)…
“Hand tended vines, sorted bunch-by-bunch, naturally open fermented, basket pressed and stored in French oak barriques from bespoke coopers.”
I don’t know about you, but that sounds all a bit romantic to me.
Not to mention the lovely poem on the back label 😉
I was kindly sent this bottle as a sample. Thank you very much!
The winemakers behind this wine are Elena Brooks & Rosie Signer and it retails for $40, which you can buy online via the Heirloom website.
In the glass it’s a thick red colour. On the nose it has everything from blackcurrants to mint, to mushrooms and spice. It smells velvety smooth. In the mouth it’s big and bold but refined and well balanced. Great length and quite simply it’s liquid deliciousness.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
