22 Degree 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Zibibbo and Fiano
I love a funky mix of grape varieties and this 22 Degree Halo 2019 white blend definitely ticks that box. It’s from the Riverland region in South Australia and is made up of:
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Zibibbo (aka Muscat of Alexandria)
- Fiano
I received this bottle in my recent sample pack from Good Pair Days (thank you!). It jumped out at me due to the unique blend of grapes in it and the fact I haven’t come across the Zibibbo grape before – apparently it’s highly aromatic which might explain the beautiful nose on this wine.

In the glass this vino is the colour of yellow diamonds while the nose immediately made me think of a rocket & pear salad, think aromas of apples and pears, lemon honey and a hint of grassy rocket spice. Those flavours flow through to the palate with a nice bite of acidity and a generous silky texture. Very yummy!
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
