Grant Burge Brut Rose NV – Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
It’s a bubbly Friday! And a pink one too.
I recently received this sample of the Grant Burge Wines Brut Rosé (thank you!!) and look at that stunning box it came in. What a gorgeous gift for a sparkling Rosé lover over Christmas!
It’s made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in the elevated cool climate regions of the Adelaide Hills, Alpine Valley, and Eden Valley in South Australia.
“The wine gently matures in bottle on full lees for an average of 28 months to build mouthfeel and complexity before disgorgement and liqueuring.” And the best bit? It’s only $30.
So what did we think? Well..
It’s the colour of Argle pink diamonds in the glass. The nose is delicate with strawberry sherbet, lemon zest and a bit of florals coming through. While in the mouth it’s just so bloody scrumptious. Super smooth yet voluptuous mousse, grapefruit zest, breadiness, red currants and strawberries. While it’s all that, it is also so fresh and light. A bargain at $30.
This wine was given to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
