Evans & Taste Butterball Chardonnay (Margaret River, WA)
When I see ‘butter’ on a Chardonnay label, I know it’s going to be that creamy, delicious style of Chardy I love.
I also think Butterball would be a great name for a cat. Yes, I am a Crazy Cat Lady!
This Evans & Tate 2017 Chardonnay from Margaret River (WA) I picked up for about $15. I believe the 16’ vintage was in James Halliday’s Top 100 under $20.
On the eye, it doesn’t come across like a super oaky wine with a lemon & lime colour. The nose is full of peaches and oranges with a lick of sweet vanilla. While in the mouth it’s creamy and smooth with a nice refreshing citrusy finish. It’s a nicely balanced, not in your face oaked Chard.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
