Clearwater Cove 2017 Chardonnay
A quick long weekend in NZ calls for plenty of fishing followed by plenty of #nzwine!
Mr. Spittoon grabbed this bottle for us to enjoy from the bottle shop beside the boat ramp and boy did it go down well after I hauled in all those snapper;)
This Clearwater Cove 2017 Chardonnay is made from East Coast fruit. The winery is based in Marlborough but from what I can tell they bring in grapes from various regions to make a wide range of wine styles.

This one went down with our fresh fish’n’chips very well! It’s a pale yellow in the glass with a lovely creamy melon and white flower perfume. Tropical fruits come through on the palate with a smooth mouthfeel and refreshing grapefruit bite. Uncomplicated and easy drinking.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
